Alden Wicker
Occupation: Intern, Green Team
Biography: A recent graduate of Washington and Lee University in Virginia, with a double major in Mass Communication and Business Administration, Alden has been more than a boon to Green Team this summer. Originally from Annapolis, Maryland, she just moved to New York and is hoping to make it her permanent home. Amongst her hobbies are obscure music, horseback riding, traveling and running.

Brian Jones
Occupation: Senior Consultant, Wind Energy
Biography: Brian has held many operational and senior executive roles in the Electricity industry in Australia, and is passionate about developing the leadership capability of those around him and creating a sustainable future. He holds qualifications as a Marine Engineer and a Masters Degree in Business Administration. Brian is a passionate if erratic snow skier, enjoys walking, and is a sometimes sailor who loves his family and life and currently resides in beautiful Tasmania.
Erika Perry
Occupation: Senior Art Director, Green Team
Biography: Although she grew up in a small town in rural north Florida, Erika has had the opportunity to travel the world, seeing new places and meeting new people. After graduating from Syracuse University, she worked at several large advertising agencies on clients such as Pepsi, Lipton and Gatorade, but was anxious to put her communication skills to better use. Inspired by photography, art, dance and nature, Erika is an eternal optimist; even her dog, Lily, knows how to smile.

Hank Stewart
Occupation: VP Strategic Messaging, Green Team
Biography: A Kentucky native and University of North Carolina graduate, Hank built a career as an award-winning copywriter and creative director in several New York ad agencies before joining Green Team in 2003. In addition to steering and articulating brand strategy and leading the new business team, he serves as the Publisher of g-Think. In his ever-shrinking spare time, Hank is an accomplished beer writer, volunteer firefighter, ukulele player, and the father of two sons who inspire and bemuse him.
Heather Rose
Occupation: Chairman, Green Team Australia
Biography: Co-founder and Executive Chairman of Green Team Australia, Heather is a respected environmental advocate with a passionate commitment to sustainable business. Winner of the 2004 Telstra Tasmanian Business Woman of the Year, Heather oversaw the success of the multi award=winning creative agency Coo’ee Tasmania and effected Coo’ee’s transformation into Green Team. Heather was named one of BRW’s top 50 female entrepreneurs in 2006. Heather is a sought after speaker and a best selling Australian author.
Hugh Hough
Occupation: Founder and President, Green Team
Biography: Hugh worked in large, global advertising agencies on large, global accounts, before founding Green Team, the first environmental ad agency in the US, in 1993. Hugh was selected by The Climate Project to be one of the presenters trained by Al Gore to give Gore's global warming presentation depicted in An Inconvenient Truth. If he’s not at his desk, you can find Hugh cooking, camping or watching World Cup soccer.
Ian Fowler
Occupation: Director Brand Strategy, Green Team Australia
Biography: Prior to returning to Australia Ian was Vice President, Green Team West in Arizona, and before that, in New York, the Director of Financial and Corporate Communications for BP, the world’s second largest energy company. His responsibilities included issues management, media relations and liaison with senior company officers on BP’s re-branding to “Beyond Petroleum.” Ian had a number of assignments with BP around the world before settling in the United States. He is a media relations expert with extensive experience in branding and messaging development, corporate social responsibility and issues management.
Izzie Zahorian
Occupation: Graphic Designer
Interests: people, stories, traveling, and everything in between
Biography: Born and raised in the great 'burb of Centerville, OH, Izzie Zahorian currently resides in Brooklyn, NY. Here, she can be found enjoying roof-top barbeques, interning at Cunning, soaking up culture, and having a blast. Upon summer's expiration, Izzie will be returning to her graphic design studies at the University of Cincinnati.

Occupation: Freelance Copywriter

Jessalyn Estill
Occupation: Account Executive, Green Team
Biography: An Iowa native and a Canadian expat, Jess began her career at Green Team armed with a journalism degree from the University of Missouri. She manages to keep herself pretty busy both as account person extraordinaire and also as Editor in Chief of g-Think, but when she’s not crossing t’s and dotting i’s she tends to fill her time writing her blog, running in New York Road Runner races, traveling, playing board games and cheering for alternative energy.
Jimmie Stone
Occupation: Partner and Chief Creative Strategist, Green Team USA
Biography: Originally from Venezuela, Jimmie began his career at McCann-Erickson, Uruguay, as an Art Director on brands such as Coca-Cola and Nestle. For over a decade at Green Team, he has helped shape the agency’s mission of awakening brands to the power of responsible business. As a Planetarian, Jimmie understands the urgency of waking up to the interconnectedness of our economy, our environment and our well-being, and the importance of working towards a new consciousness of humans and planet as one.
Juliana Rotich
Occupation: Editor at Global Voices Online
Biography: Juliana Rotich is a blogger, digital activist and the Program Director of Ushahidi, an innovative non-profit web startup that is creating a tool and mashup for mapping crises. She is interested in renewable energy sources especially solar. She agrees with those who say that the world is one village, and Global Voices Online is one hut she is pretty happy to be in!
Lauren Mann
Occupation: Copywriter, Green Team
Biography: A Boston native, Lauren began her career at Euro RSCG, then spent five years at Cliff Freeman, where she worked on accounts including Snapple, Hollywood Video and Mike’s Hard Lemonade. At Green Team, she has lent her talents to Mars, VisitScotland, The Famous Grouse and various sustainability efforts for Johnson & Johnson. Lauren is a guacamole addict and former pianist, and is exactly one year shy of being an official New Yorker, having now lived in the city for 9 years.
Lindsey Morse
Occupation: Account Executive, Green Team
Biography: A Pacific Northwest transplant, Lindsey spent five years developing the marketing and advertising departments of the Portland-based magazine Sustainable Industries before bringing her vision and talent to Green Team. She was a founding member of the Seattle Chamber of Commerce Sustainable Business Committee and has earned graduate certificates in Sustainable Business and Entrepreneurship from the Bainbridge Graduate Institute.
Lyle Estill
Occupation: Entrepreneur and Writer
Biography: Aside from being Jess’s dad, Lyle Estill is the author of Biodiesel Power and Small is Possible. His involvement in renewable energy, from wind to biodiesel to solar to hydro, has provided him with a bully pulpit that suits his preacher instincts. As a writer, speaker and blogger (publisher of Energy Blog), he persistently bumps up against the status quo. His shop is deep in the woods of Chatham County, North Carolina, but it has largely been abandoned in favor of either vacation or lunch.

Milton Kapelus
Occupation: Partner and Chief Operating Officer, Green Team
Biography: A born-and-bred South African, Milton emigrated, along with his wife and three children, in 1979 to the U.S., where he headed up the travel divisions of McCaffrey and McCall and Grey Advertising before starting his own business and then joining Green Team in 2001. Milton brings nearly 50 years of experience in communications and agency leadership, and is infinitely passionate about travel, classical music, independent film, wine, and his grandchildren.
Monica Gelinas
Occupation: Senior Consultant, Karp Resources
Biography: Monica Gelinas is a Senior Consultant at Karp Resources, NYC-based consulting firm focused on sustainability, regional sourcing, product development, retail and foodservice solutions for public and private interests. She was the former Head of Supply Chain, Marketing and Product Development for Pret A Manger, USA with responsibilities in global supply chain management, product development, branding and merchandising, launching the chain in the US market. She is the immediate past president of CHS NYC and past trustee president of the Meadowlands Museum in Northern New Jersey. BS Hotel Administration ’99, MS NYU Global Affairs ’08, thesis on Green Hotels.

Libby Sallaberry
Occupation: Reporter, Copy Editor of g-Think
Biography: After growing up in Washington, Missouri (a.k.a. the corn cob pipe capital of the world) and attending the University of Missouri, Libby moved to New York to pursue a career in financial journalism. After a quick stint at Bloomberg covering energy, she landed at Institutional Investor. When she’s not delving into the wonderful world of credit markets, she enjoys reading, hunting for street furniture, cooking (with a glass of wine) and being a Green Team groupie.
Erin Crumpacker
Occupation: Filmmaker and Editor
Biography: A former PR executive, Erin took President Obama's message of change to heart when she left her career to pursue documentary filmmaking and editing full-time. She is currently an associate producing Pretty Old, a feature-length documentary film profiling the contestants of the Miss Senior Sweetheart pageant as they wage the battle between age and beauty. She also contributes film reviews and news to Briefly Noted (www.briefly-noted.com), an arts and culture blog.
