Ecuador
Ecuador tapped Green Team to develop its first North American tourism campaign. Aside from the Galapagos Islands, not much was known about Ecuador’s other regions, especially as a tourist destination. The tourism infrastructure was not well established, and was looking to be developed in a sustainable manner. We created a campaign that spoke of travel in a philosophical tone, underlining the fragile nature of some of Ecuador’s natural and cultural attractions, and the country’s desire to establish a sustainable tourism infrastructure. The campaign featured a topographical cross section, identifying the country’s 4 distinct regions. To help spread the word and bring credibility to our sustainable tourism claims, we created several partnerships, including one with the Rainforest Alliance.
